Before Your Appointment
Before your first visit, you'll need to complete a health history form. This gives us important information about your medical conditions, medications, and any dental concerns. You can fill this out online ahead of time to save time on the day of your appointment.
Bring your insurance card and a valid ID. If you have dental X-rays from a previous dentist, ask them to forward those records to us. This helps us understand your dental history.
The Initial Examination
Your first visit typically includes a comprehensive examination. Your dentist will check your teeth, gums, jaw, and bite. We'll also perform an oral cancer screening and look for any signs of concern.
Digital X-rays may be taken to get a complete picture of your oral health, including areas between teeth and below the gumline that can't be seen during a visual exam.
Professional Cleaning
A dental hygienist will perform a professional cleaning to remove plaque and tartar buildup. They'll also polish your teeth and floss to leave your smile feeling fresh and clean.
This is a great time to ask questions about your brushing and flossing technique. Our hygienists love to share tips for improving your home care routine.
Your Treatment Plan
After the examination, your dentist will discuss their findings with you. If any treatment is needed, they'll explain your options, expected timelines, and costs. We believe in transparent communication — you'll never be surprised by a recommendation.
We'll work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs, budget, and schedule. Your comfort and understanding are our top priorities.
